The pictures are listed here in reverse order. I still am learning how to upload the right way…. Sigh. So you’ll see the end of our train trip first, and then the beginning. I also lost a few that I uploaded. I could upload them again, but we need to move on. We're already one day behind.
Oh well.
The room that we had was larger than we thought. They opened the door between the two room so it made it easy to move between the two. That also meant that we had 2 bathroom/showers, two sinks and 2 window to look out of. There were so many pictures that I took of the view, but I tried to get a few from each state. We slept through most of Utah, so I think I only got a couple of pictures. So in order from top to bottom,:
Wyoming,
Wyoming - this reminds me of the place in Close Encounters of the 3rd Kind, which actually was from Wyoming. I think it’s called “Devil’s Post Pile” but I’m not sure.
Wyoming – this state was facinating to view…. At first there was a lot of farm land and ranches That’s what I would have expected. But all this variety is not what I expected. Wyoming is a very beautiful state.
Getting ready for bed (we’re still in Utah here)
Donner Lake, CA
Mothball Fleet in Vallejo, CA USS Iowa is that large battleship on the side.
Views of the train cabin: Dining car, next is the sink area … so small!, then the shower/toilet. It was an adventure taking a shower while the train was moving! And the last picture is us relaxing right after we settled into our room.
